On October 5, 2020, the Sejong Institute held the ninth Sejong Policy Forum on the topic of “Prospects of the U.S. Presidential Election (II)” at the Somerset Palace located in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
The forum started with the opening speech of President PAIK Haksoon of the Sejong Institute. Dr. LEE Daewoo, Vice President for Research Planning of the Sejong Institute, moderated sessions. Prof. GO Min Hee (Ewha Womans University), Prof. SOHN Byoung Kwon (Chung-Ang University), Prof. AHN Byongjin (Kyunghee University), Director WOO Jung-Yeop (Center for American Studies, the Sejong Institute), Prof. HA Shang E. (Sogang University), and Prof. HAHN Kyu Sup (Seoul National University) made presentations and attended an in-depth discussion.

- Estimating the results of November election ahead of a month (based on the U.S. Presidential Debate on September 29, 2020)
- Analyzing the outlook of each state’s outcome
- Predicting possible external variables of the election (vaccine for COVID-19, postal voting, objection to the election results, etc.)
