2019 Tokyo ROK-Japan Relations Conference

On July 18, “2019 Tokyo ROK-Japan Relations Conference,” co-hosted by the Sejong Institute, the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) and the Korea Foundation (KF), was held at the conference room of JIIA. The conference was held to re-evaluate the present situation and problems of the ROK-Japan relations and to seek future-oriented Korea-Japan relations with experts of Japanese universities and policy makers. It was attended by President Paik Haksoon, Vice President Lee Myon Woo, Director of the Center for Japanese Studies Jin Chang Soo, and Director of the Center for American Studies Woo Jung-Yeop of the Sejong Institute; Chairman Sasae Kenichiro and Director General (Acting) Nakayama Yasunori of JIIA; Former Japanese Ambassador to the ROK Ogura Kazuo; Director-General of KF International Cooperation Bureau 1 Moon Sung-Ki and Director of Tokyo Office Han Jae Ho, and other experts on Korean and Japanese affairs to discuss the prospect of peace in Northeast Asia and Korea-Japan relations.
