On Wednesday of July 24, the Sejong Institute held the first domestic conference on the topic of “Korea–China–Japan Trilateral Partnership: In Areas of Sports Cooperation and Disaster Management” as a part of establishing the public-private network for the 2019 Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Platform Project. This conference, which was a part of the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ project, brought experts of the Sejong Institute, including President Paik Haksoon, Senior Research Fellow Lee Dae Woo, Visiting Research Fellow Hwang Jae Jun and other experts in the relevant field. The participants explored measures to enhance trilateral cooperation between Korea–China–Japan in areas of sports cooperation and disaster management.
