On September 24, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the 2019 International Conference on the U.S.-ROK Alliance and Cooperation at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C., as a part of the 2019 Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation (NAPC) Platform Public-Private Network Project, a project of the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The panels from the Sejong Institute included: Chairman Baek Jong Chun; President Paik Haksoon; Lee Sang Hyun, Senior Research Fellow; Woo Jung-Yeop, Director of the Center for American Studies; and Hwang Jae Jun, Visiting Research Fellow. They were joined by the experts at the Hudson Institute including: President Kenneth Weinstein; Lewis Libby, Senior Vice President; and Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific Security Chair. The panels discussed the current issues and future strategies for Northeast Asian peace cooperation, the U.S.-ROK alliance, and the U.S.-ROK-Japan trilateral cooperation.
