On October 22, 2019, the Sejong Institute, together with Center for Regional Security Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Science and Center for Korean Peninsula Studies of Peking University, held “Conference for the Peace in the Korean Peninsula and Inter-Korean Knowledge Sharing” at Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province. This conference was sponsored by Gyeonggi Province, the Ministry of Unification and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Experts and figures – Mayor Eun Soo-mi of Seongnam City, Chairman Baek Jong Chun and President Paik Haksoon of the Sejong Institute, Professor Piao Jian Yi of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Wang Yuan Zhou and Professor Donggil Kim of Peking University – were joined by other experts, and discussed about the New Korean Peninsula Regime, Measures for Northern Economic Cooperation and Possibility of inter-Korean solidarity for Knowledge Economy in detail.​
