On Friday, September 23, the Sejong Institute held the 9th Sejong Policy Forum of the year on the topic of “Military Response to Enhancing North Korea’s Asymmetric Threats.” In the first session, Chang Kwoun Park, Military Research Fellow at Korea Institute for Defense Analyses, and Yong-won Yoo, Military Affairs Reporter at Chosun Ilbo, presented on “Assessment and Analysis on North Korea’s Asymmetric Threat.” In the following session, Yeol-su Kim, Professor at Sungshin Women’s University, and Young-ho Kim, Professor at Korea National Defense University, gave a presentation on “South Korea’s Response to North Korea’s Asymmetric Threat.”

The presentations were complemented by profound discussions of eleven discussants, including Prof. Jae-cheol Kim and Dr. Sang Hyun Park, Associate Research Fellow at Korea Institute for Defense Analyses, Vice President Gi-Woong Son from Korea Institute for National Unification, Wonshik Shin, former South Korean Defense Ministry' vice chief of Policy Planning Division.
