The Sejong Institute's Cybersecurity Center held its fourth Sejong Cybersecurity Forum on Wednesday, May 25 at the Somerset Palace Hotel (Seoul) under the theme of "What will the new government do about cyber security? - focusing on strategy, industry, and human resource development. Based on Korea's existing cybersecurity policy and the new government's cybersecurity-related pledges, the forum was planned to discuss the direction of the new government's cybersecurity policy, focusing on strategies, industry, and human resource development.
At the forum, Professor Lim Jong-in (Korea University, former presidential special security advisor) presented "Diagnosis of Cyber Security Policy and Direction of the New Government"," Vice Chairman Yoon Doo-sik (Korea Information Security Industry Association) presented "New Government Policy Direction for Developing the Cyber Security Industry." In response, Professor Kim Tae-sung (Chungbuk National University) presented "Cultivation of Cyber Security Personnel in Platform-based Government." Professor Kim Minho (Sungkyunkwan University), President Choi Donggeun (SsenStone, former president of the CISO Association), and Professor Yoo Ji-young (Sangmyung University) discussed various detailed topics, and various related experts participated in the free discussion.
