On Monday, April 4, 2016, the Sejong Institute welcomed a delegation from Tamkang University in Taiwan, and held its first roundtable discussion this year on the theme of "The Current Security Situation Surrounding Northeast Asia and the Korean Peninsula." The roundtable was moderated by Dr. Haksoon Paik, and Dr. Un-Chul Yang and Dr. Sang Hyun Lee briefed the panel on the topic of "The Northeast Asian Order and Security Situation on the Korean Peninsula" and "Sanctioning North Korea: International Response to North Korea's 4th Nuclear Test," respectively. President Chang Soo Jin and other research fellows including Dr. Tai Hwan Lee, Dr. Jae-heung Chung, and Dr. Seong-Hyon Lee from our institute also participated in the roundtable for an active discussion about the current affairs of Northeast Asia and North Korea sanctions as well as on the prospects of developing closer ties between South Korea and Taiwan.
