2017 3rd Sejong Policy Forum

On Tuesday, May 16, the Sejong Institute held the 3rd Sejong Policy Forum on "New Administration's Foreign Policy Environment and Tasks in Foreign Affairs, National Security, and Unification" The first session, on the topic of “South Korea's New Administration's Foreign Policy Environment” consisted of presentations from Hong Kyu Dok (Professor, Sookmyung Women's University) and Lee Seungjoo (Professor, Chung-Ang University). The second session, in which the participants discussed on “The New Administration’s Policy Directions and Major Tasks for Foreign Affairs, National Security, and Unification,” began with presentations from Kim Joonhyung (Professor, Handong Global University) and Shin Beom-chul (Professor, Korea National Diplomatic Agency) on core agenda and policy considerations that the new administration could consider.

 

This Forum also included various experts such as Suh Choo Suk (Senior Research Fellow, Korea Institute for Defense Analyses), Han Sukhee (Professor, Yonsei University), and Jo Yanghyeon (Professor, Korea National Diplomatic Academy) and government officials. The participants had an in-depth discussion on the environment and policy tasks of South Korea’s foreign policy.​
