On April 21st, the Sejong Institute held its third Policy Forum on the topic of “the Biden administration's announcement of North Korean policy and South Korea's response” at the Somerset Palace located in Seoul.
The forum started with the opening speech of President Paik Haksoon of the Sejong Institute. Lee Daewoo, Vice President for Research Planning of the Sejong Institute, moderated sessions. Min Jung Hoon, professor at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, and Lee Sang Hyun, Senior Research Fellow at the Sejong Institute, discussed the theme of "the Biden administration's North Korea policy, prospects of U.S.-North Korea relations, and South Korea's response" during the first session. During the second session, Moon Heung Ho, professor at Hanyang University, and Ha Doh Hyung, professor at Korea National Defense University discussed about "prospects of China-North Korea relations and South Korea's response." During the third session, Lee Gee-dong, Vice-president of the Institute for National Security Strategy, and Kim Dong Yup, professor at University of North Korean Studies, discussed about "North Korea's South Korean policy and South Korea's response."
