On May 26th, the Sejong Institute held its fourth Policy Forum on the topic of “Japan's Korean Peninsula policy and our response” at the Somerset Palace located in Seoul.
The forum started with the opening speech of President Paik Haksoon of the Sejong Institute. Lee Daewoo, Vice President for Research Planning of the Sejong Institute, moderated sessions. Sohn Yul, professor at Yonsei University presented and Chung Miae, Research Fellow at the Sejong Institute, discussed the theme of "Japan's Korean Peninsula policy and our response" during the first session. During the second session, Shin Jung-hwa, professor at Dongseo University, and Yoon Dae Yeop, professor at Daejeon University discussed about "Japan's North Korea policy and our responses." During the third session, Kwon Tae Hwan, professor at the Korea National Defense University, and Kim Gwi-geun, reporter at Yonhap News, discussed about "South Korea-U.S.-Japan security alliance, Japan, and our response."
