The 1st ROK-China-Japan Trilateral Future Forum was held on October 21, 2015. The forum was hosted by the Sejong Institute and the Seoul Economic Daily and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The trilateral meeting invited experts of the three countries’ various academic circles and provided a forum to promote regional cooperation by addressing measures to overcome the current historical disputes and challenges in the region. 
The forum began with the vice president of the Seoul Economic Daily, Mr. Jong-hwan Lee’s opening remarks and held on the topic of “ROK-China-Japan Trilateral Summit and Peace in Northeast Asia.” The forum was moderated by the President of the Sejong Institute, Dr. Chang Soo Jin, and Dr. So-hwa Woo from the China Institute for International Issues and Prof. Kimiya Tadashi from the University of Tokyo gave presentation as the representative of China and Japan. Both speakers and discussants actively shared and exchanged their different ideas and perspectives on the issues addressed.
