On May 14, the Sejong Institute visited the Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Germany as part of a policy dialogue for mutual understanding and trust between Korea and Europe.
The first session, with a keynote speech by Ambassador Seok-in Hong, discussed North Korea's nuclear strategy and Korea-Europe security cooperation under the theme of "Unification and Denuclearization," with presentations by Eisabeth Suh (SWP Researcher), Jae-seung Lee (Professor, Korea University), and Taek-bin Kim (Senior Research Fellow, Institute for Unification and Peace Studies, Seoul National University).
The second session was titled 'Security Cooperation between Korea and Europe in the Indo-Pacific Region' and featured presentations from Jinwoo Choi (Professor, Hanyang University), Eric Ballbach (SWP), and Sungwon Lee (Research Fellow, Sejong Institute), with a discussion by Hyo-sun Lim(Director of the Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
