The Sejong Institute held the 20th Sejong CICIR Conference in Beijing, China, on September 16, 2014. 
The conference began with the CICIR President, 季志业, and Sejong Institute’s President Daesung Song’s opening remarks. 
The conference was conducted in three sessions and discussion on the topic of “Changes in the ROK-DPRK Relations and ROK-Sino Relations,” “Japan and Northeast Asia: Sino-Japan, DPRK-Japan,” and, “China’s Policy toward the Korean Peninsula and the Unification of the Peninsula.”  

On September 17, 2014, Sejong research fellows and President Song visited the Central Party School of CPC in Beijing, and had a roundtable discussion. 
The experts of Sejong Institute and the Central Party School exchanged their views on current security issues such as unification of the Korean Peninsula, North Korea’s nuclear issues, and DPRK-US, ROK-Sino, Sino-US Relations. 
Sejong research fellows also visited the Beijing institute for international Strategic studies, and discussed about MD issues, DPRK-Sino Relations, characteristics of The Presidential Committee for Unification Preparation, and etc.
