2016 ROK-China Security Cooperation Dialogue in Shanghai

 

On Friday, March 25, 2016, the Sejong Institute held an ROK-China Security Cooperation Dialogue in Shanghai, China. The Dialogue began with South Korea’s Consul-General in Shanghai Suk-hee Han’s congratulatory remarks and was attended by dozens of experts from both South Korea and China. President Chang Soo Jin, Vice President Un-Chul Yang and other research fellows at the Sejong Institute participated. The experts from China included President Chen Dongxiao of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and Dr. Shi Yuanhua, former director of Center for Korean Studies at Fudan University. The discussion was conducted in three separate sessions and the participants talked about various topics ranging from North Korea’s nuclear proliferation and regional security surrounding the Korean peninsula to the prospects of ROK-China security cooperation.
