The 18th annual Sejong-CICIR Academic Conference between the Sejong Institute and the Chinese Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) was held at CICIR on May 15, 2012. Scholars from both countries exchanged views on topic of "Presidential Election and the Situation on the Korean Peninsula" with seminars on DPRK-US relations, inter-Korea relations, South Korea-China relations. The Sejong Institute's delegation included President Daesung Song, Director Un-chul Yang, Ki-soo Kim, Soung Chul Kim, Gyeong-seob Oh, and Hyun-jeong Yoo.
