The Sejong Institute held its 3rd Policy Symposium on July 4, 2012, with Former Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force General Carrol H. Chandler. General Chandler presented on "US  air, space and cyber strategy and its impact on Northeast Asia security". 

General Chandler's presentation stated that the emergence of China and the international situation in Northeast Asia has resulted in the US coming to a strategic turning point. The future strategic guidance of the US lies in strengthening security cooperation with friendly states through a partnership relations. Also, the US will look to strengthen the East Asia region by maintaining its dominant position in air, space and cyber capabilities.

The symposium was moderated by Dr. Chol-Ho Chung, attended by President Daesung Song and the Sejong Institute's research fellows.
