On October 10, 2012, the Sejong Institute hosted the '2012 Sejong National Policy International Conference' under the title, "Towards a Desirable Policy on North Korea".

The conference was conducted in two sessions and a roundtable discussion on the topic of 'Foreign Perspectives on the ROK's North Korea Policy I- US, Japan, EU', 'Foreign Perspectives on the ROK's North Korea Policy II- China, Russia' and 'Direction of North Korea Policy for the Next ROK Administration'.
