On June 11, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the 25th Sejong-CICIR Academic Conference, an annual conference between the two institutions. The event started with welcoming remarks by President Paik Haksoon of the Sejong Institute and a response from Special Advisor Ji Zhiye of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). The conference consisted of three sessions, and each one was conducted in the form of presentations and following in-depth discussions among participants. The topics of sessions were as follows:
