On July 24, the Sejong Institute invited specialists from the Shanghai Institute of International Affairs to hold a roundtable discussion on the theme of “New US-China Strategic Relations and Outlook on Northeast Asian Affairs.” This roundtable was participated by the Sejong Institute’s President Paik Haksoon, Vice president Lee Myon Woo, Vice President Cheong Seong-Chang of Research Planning Division, Director Lee Seonghyon of Center for Chinese Studies and Research Fellow Chung Jae-hung to meet with Vice President of SIIS Yan Anlin, Senior Fellow of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies Wu Jinan, Director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies Shao Yuqun, Deputy Director of Asian-Pacific Studies Gong Keyu, Senior Research Fellow of SIIS Chen Youjun, and Research Fellow at the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao Studies Ji Yixin for in-depth discussions on the direction of ROK-China cooperation toward the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
