TOPIC: Development of Korea-Japan Relationship

The symposium started with Sejong President Dr. Dae-sung Song's opening address. Minister Maehara stressed in his speech that year 2011 is the 100th anniversary of Korea-Japan relations and it is a new landmark to further improve the existing good relations between the two countries. The symposium was attended by approximately 40 renowned scholars and journalists. The speaker and participants discussed and exchanged their opinions on North Korean issues, outlook for Korea-Japan relations, and economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
