On October 31, the Sejong Institute delegation visited the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and held the 24th Sejong Institute-CICIR Academic Conference. CICIR President Yuan Peng and Sejong Institute’s Vice President Lee Myon-woo made the opening remarks for this conference. The Sejong fellows including Vice President for Research Planning Cheong Seong-chang, Director Lee Seong-hyon of Department of Unification Strategy Studies, Research Fellows Chung Jaehung and Choi Eunju evaluated the changing political climate on the Korean Peninsula this year and discussed the ‘end-of-war’ declaration and the establishment of the peace regime on the Korean Peninsula, and the future directions for ROK-China cooperation with CICIR fellows including Vice President Hu Jiping, Senior Research Fellow Li Jun, among others.
