On November 26, the Sejong Institute and the Korea Foundation held 2018 ROK-Japan Symposium in Osaka, sponsored by the ROK Consulate General in Osaka. With the main theme as “New ROK-Japan Relations and Peace in Northeast Asia,” the symposium was to raise the importance of ROK-Japan relations, to foster a better understanding of Korea and its policy on the Northeast Asian order and unification to prefecture-level policymakers and experts in the universities. The participants included Chairman Baek Jong-chun (the Sejong Institute), Chairman Lee Si-hyung (Korea Foundation), Consul-General Oh Tai-kyu of Osaka, Professor Kim Ki-jung (Yonsei University), Kimura Kan (Kobe University), Professor Nakato Sachio (Ritsumeikan University), Osawa Bungo (Chiba University of Science) among other experts from the two countries.
