On April 5, 2013, the Sejong Institute held the 1st roundtable discussion with Dr. Scott B. MacDonald from MC Asset Management Holdings.

Dr. MacDonald, senior managing director and head of research of MC Asset Management Holdings, LLC, raised questions about the longevity of the North Korean regime and the new Chinese government’s policy towards North Korea. The discussion was operated by Myon-woo Lee, Vice President of the Sejong Institute, and attended by the Sejong Institute’s research fellows.

The participants exchanged their views on the topic of "The Security Situation around the Korean Peninsula,” and further discussed about North Korea’s dependency on China and the current economic situations in Northeast Asia.
