On February 7, 2022, the Sejong Institute held the opening ceremony of the 28th National Strategy Education Program at the Institute. The program runs from February 7 to December 8, 2022 with a total of 106 government officials, including managerial-level officials at government departments and director-level staffs at public organizations.
This education program intends to seek South Korea's national strategy in the 21st century, understand national strategies of major countries surrounding the Korean peninsula, enhance officials' policy management capabilities for advancing nation's competitiveness, and to comprehend the current issues of Korea in order to seek appropriate solutions to the issues. The curriculum is comprised of core and elective subjects, such as international relations, inter-Korean relations, economy, society, history, scientific technology and humanities etc.
Pending issues and concerns are discussed through a variety of research topics at individual, team, and divisional units, and trainees then refer to these discussions and information they have acquired to their regional response strategies and administrative work after returning back to departments. Trainees also participate on foreign language education (English, Chinese and Japanese), policy case presentations, self-development education, club activities, volunteering and more.
