On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, the Sejong Institute held the opening ceremony of the 23rd National Strategy Training Program at the institute.
Government
officials, managerial-level officials from government investment agencies, and directorial
staff at the corporations will be participating in the Program which runs from February 7, 2017
to December 6.
The
program is intended to seek South Korea’s national strategy in the 21st century, understand the major countries surrounding the Korean Peninsula and
the rapidly-changing international order, increase capabilities for policy
management to raise national competitiveness, comprehend the problems of
national issues, and seek solutions to these problems.
Under the main theme of “National Strategy”, the participants of the Program will attend lectures on national perspectives, perspective of history, public service values, leadership, foreign policy and international relations: theory and practice, international trade and economy, major countries and regions (the U.S., China, Japan, Russia, ASEAN, EU), national security, ROK-U.S. alliance, East Asian security, inter-Korean relations, unification, settlement of peace, the North Korean nuclear and missile issue, history, society, culture, humanities, business management, performance management, etc., receive language education (English, Chinese, and Japanese), IT education, and take an educational tour and overseas educational program during 10 months.
