The 71 trainees of the 22nd Sejong National Strategy Training Program took a four-day long overseas study visit to either Japan or China from May 16th to 19th. Those who opted for Japanese visit, 38 trainees, paid a visit to Mindan (a Korean community in Japan) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Osaka where they were briefed on historical and political issues. The other 33 trainees, the China team, hiked Mt. Baekdu, (North) Korea's tallest mountain shared with China, and toured a North Korea-China-Russia border region as well as Longjing, a main stage of anti-Japanese movement during the Japanese colonial period. The team also had an opportunity to listen to a lecture from a local expert about North Korea-China relations in respect to the two countries' economic cooperation.
