  Academic & Policy Activities

 

■  The 9th Sejong Colloquium

On April 23, the Sejong Institute held the ninth colloquium of the year on the topic of the “Perceptions of American and Chinese Media Regarding South Korea’s Role as a “Mediator” for North Korean Nuclear Issue and Their Implications.” Research Fellow Lee Seong-hyon presented his thoughts on the subject, and Cho Changwan, executive director of Southwest Coast Enterprise City Development, joined to discuss about the topic. The colloquium was moderated by Senior Research Fellow Yang Un-Chul.  

■  The 4th Sejong Policy Forum

On May 8, the Sejong Institute held the Fourth Sejong Policy Forum for the year 2019 on the topic of “Changes in Political Landscape after Chairman Kim Jong-un’s Administration Address and Prospects of the Inter-Korean Summit.” Professor Yu-hwan Koh (Dongguk University), Director of the North Korean Research Division Min Hong (Korea Institute for National Unification, KINU), Active Duty Officer Sangmin Lee (Korea Institute for Defense Analyses, KIDA), Young Jun Kim (the Institute for National Security Strategy, INSS) presented their thoughts on the topic.
