2019 Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Workshop

On September 27, 2019, the Sejong Institue held 2019 Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Workshop, sponsored by the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The workshop was designed to raise awareness of the need for a trilateral cooperation among Korea, Japan, and China, and to encourage participation in the upcoming Thesis Competition.

The ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sejong Institute invite all students with any nationality who are interested in trilateral cooperation to participate in this competition.

2019 Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP) in Russia

On September 20, “2019 Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP)” was held at Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), Moscow, Russia, under the title of “Denuclearization and Peace Settlement on the Korean Peninsula and the ROK-Russia Cooperation.” The Forum was hosted by the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs and jointly organized by the Sejong Institute and RIAC.

(The Washington Conference)

On September 23, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the 2019 Seoul-Washington Forum (The Washington Conference) under the title of “Prospects for Peace on the Korean Peninsula.” The panels from Seoul included: Chairman Baek Jong Chun and President Paik Haksoon of the Sejong Institute; Woo Jung-Yeop, Director of the Center for American Studies of the Sejong Institute and…   


2019 International Conference on the U.S.-ROK Alliance and Cooperation

On September 24, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the 2019 International Conference on the U.S.-ROK Alliance and Cooperation at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C., as a part of the 2019 Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation (NAPC) Platform Public-Private Network Project, a project of the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The 19th Sejong Colloquium

On October 8, the Sejong Institute held the nineteenth colloquium of 2019. Dr. Kim Kisoo, a Senior Research Fellow of the Sejong Institute, presented his paper on the topic of “The Essence of the Hong Kong Issue: Clash of Economic and Political Values in China.” And Dr. Hong Hyun-ik, Director of the Department of Diplomatic Strategy Studies, moderated the session.   


The 8th Sejong Policy Forum

On October 8, 2019, the Sejong Institute held the Eighth Sejong Policy Forum of 2019 on the topic of “New Southern Policy and Directions for the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit” at Somerset Palace Seoul. The Session was moderated by Dr. Choi Yoonjung, Director for the Center for ASEAN and Indian Studies of the Sejong Institute.
